ARTISTIC STATEMENT“The Third Guy” was inspired by real-life events that allowed for self-discovery in the most unexpected of places - camming websites. Through conversations with different cam boys, I was able to confront prejudices that allowed me to come to terms with my own sexuality. They were the first to help me find a place of belonging and acceptance. This story explores the kindness we can give to one another when we get rid of our prejudices and are willing to be open and honest with others. It is also a story of taking ownership of our lives even when the world constantly presents you with darkness everywhere.

Nota de Intención
Muerte en los Cedros intenta explorar el dilema entre el individual y el colectivo a partir de Melissa, un personaje abandonado y solo. Un personaje con una fuerza moral intachable pero también vulnerable emocionalmente gracias al vacío que genera la soledad. Decidimos explorar ese conflicto interno a raíz de un film noir en el que todos los personajes, en cierta forma, se encuentran frente a conflictos que ponen en peligro la unidad de sus familias.
